Downtown Moncton Centreville Inc. (DMCI)
DMCI is committed to creating an attractive place for investors while building a vibrant and inviting atmosphere for tourists and citizens alike. DMCI is a private, non-profit organization serving the interests of building and business owners in the downtown core while fostering a positive environment for individuals to work, shop, play, live, and invest. Incorporated in 1977, DMCI established New Brunswick’s first Business Improvement Area (BIA) in 1981. A BIA is a geographically defined urban area containing primarily non-residential properties. The BIA concept allows businesses and property owners to work cooperatively to manage downtown as a resource and business destination. The voting membership of DMCI includes all non-residential property owners and commercial tenants in non-residential properties.
Infoplexxus Inc.
Infoplexxus specializes in communication of scientific and technical information. President Julia Bray, brings over 15 years of experience in the analysis and communication of environmental issues. From 1997-2000 she provided public communications for the remediation and redevelopment of the former CN Shops brownfield. She worked on reviews of the management process used by Canada Lands, provided support to the community advisory panel for the project, and has retained both personal and business connections with most of the key service providers to the project. In 2005, Julia completed an analysis of the social and economic benefits of the CN Shops remediation and redevelopment.
Julia is also actively engaged in discussion of issues related to redevelopment and management of contaminated sites in Atlantic Canada through her engagement since 1998 with the Atlantic Partnership in Risk-Based Corrective Action Implementation (Atlantic PIRI). This multi-stakeholder group includes regulators from the four Atlantic Departments of Environment, Environment Canada, key regional remediation engineering companies and the petroleum industry. Their work has been recognized as ground-breaking in Canada and internationally. Ms. Bray works with policy and community issues related to management and redevelopment of contaminated sites.
Raven’s Sun Management Inc. (RSM)
Raven’s Sun Management’s staff and associates have extensive experience and expertise in conference planning and management. Robert Gallant, President has several years experience working in numerous challenging areas. Event coordination, research, proposal writing, finance, fundraising, human resources, public awareness campaigns and media relations are just a few examples of Robert’s accomplishments in this sector. With the annual coordination of three major Moncton Festivals, Community Forum coordination for the National Parole Board and conferences for various other organizations RSM is well suited to coordinate the logistics of this project.
Robert’s proven ability to develop and maintain challenging and often complicated relationships in diverse business settings is an invaluable asset for any organization. Through strong commitment and presence on a number of committees and boards, Robert has earned the respect and garnered the support of numerous government agencies and officials at municipal, provincial and federal levels as well as community service providers and the business community. Research, innovation and quality of delivery have always been the cornerstones of Robert’s approach to Project Management and Development and he will transfer these talents into the tasks ahead with any project.
